I think this optical instrument should be mandatory on all golf courses. Just as iPods have obviated CDs, this device will completely obviate the need for yardages on sprinkler heads and the like. Here's my normal round without the Bushnell Pinseeker: I drive out in the fairway -- hopefully -- and then have to find a sprinkler head. From there I have to pace it off to my ball. I get a yardage, but that's to the center of the green. At my home course I go to a pin sheet which has a crude outline of the green with four numbers on the green -- back left, back right, front left, front center. Now, assuming we're playing the back left number, I have to do some speculative math to determine how far back left the pin is, add that to the yardage ... you get the picture. WHAT A WASTE OF TIME!! The Bushnell zeroes in on the flag and gives me an exact-to-the-pin yardage every time. DO NOT get the cheaper versions as the optics are not good and it's almost impossible to lock in on the flag -- you will be terribly disappointed if you get the under $200 one. And the one that factors in slope is not USGA legal. I just finished a round at famous Riviera C.C. I had a caddy. He was calculating yardages for both me and my partner and he was amazingly accurate, but the time he wasted pacing off yardages from sprinkler heads ... and whenever someone hit it right or left in the Eucalyptuses he relied heavily on my Bushnell for the yardages. And he was not spot-on with his distances. This has been by far the best new thing I have put in my bag. It's a little pricey but then no one thinks about spending $400 for that new driver that does nothing to improve their swing. One thing the Bushnell has done is to really refine my iron distances. I'm a single digit handicap and this beautiful little instrument has just been a fantastic addition. I don't work for the company and I think their cheaper products are garbage. But this little guy is a beaut.

This thing works exactly as advertised. I use it for golf, and it does a very good job of separating the flag from other background objects, even when wind or my over-caffeinated hands make it hard to get the target centered on the flag. Even works when there is no wind and the flag is hanging straight down. This is well worth the cost adder over cheaper ones that don't work nearly as well.
Great Game Improvement and Easy to Use.

The Bushnell Pinseeker 1500 Rangefinder (non-slope model) is easy to use and constructed for the elements. After using the Pinseeker for a few rounds I quickly learned how to focus and acquire the desired target in a matter of seconds. As I walk up to my ball I pull out the rangefinder, acquire the target, put it back in the case and hit the shot without adding more then 10 seconds to my preshot routine. This rangefinder is most definately a game improvement device and has helped me to select the right club, and in many cases made me aware that I needed to change clubs.
In my opinion it is better then the GPS devices whereas you must have a course loaded or manually enter the course info beforehand. If you ride in a golf car with GPS and are subject to cart path only, then the point where your ball lies will only be an estimate of the actual yardage. The Pinseeker can go to any course in the world and be used immediately on any part of the course.
If you are looking for a device that will help with club selection and game imporvement, then I would highly recommend the Pinseeker 1500.
A substantial improvement over earlier iterations of this same product.

This is a beautifully constructed laser instrument for accurately measuring your distance to the pin or to any obstacle on the course. It works significantly better than the older version of this same product locking in much quicker plus it can find the flag MUCH easier.
My dad and I both use this when we are playing golf and find it to be completely reliable. You will also find additional uses for your Yardage Pro Laser Rangefinder. I use my for sighting in my rifle and for all sorts of other things.
One small downside. You do have to drag it out and sight in every time you need a measurement and that does get a bit tiresome. The GPS units that are on some golf carts on some courses are VERY convenient but do not give precise yardage to the pin and other objects.
I heartily recommend this product! It delivers exactly as promised.

I've only used this 3 rounds so far. What a great tool to improve your golf game and to make shots with confidence. I was apprehensive spending this much money for this as opposed to replacing some of my clubs. I was blown away the first round I used this. It works as mentioned by all reviewers. If I could rate it higher I would. It is hard to hold it steady without the image shaking even a little, but it still gives you an accurate yardage while in the scan mode. There is no need to be perfectly steady, it catches the flag and gives you a yardage. It's also great for distances to water and sand traps. I highly recommend this for any golfer looking to improve their game! Amazon has the lowest price I could find. Even on EBAY the final winning prices plus shipping were higher then Amazon.

This is my second rangefinder by Bushnell. The first one was the Scout, which was an excellent product but could not get the pin beyond 200 yards. This version gets the pin out to 400 or so, depending on conditions. It is a little bulkier than the Scout, but you get 7x magnification and much better optics for looking at the green. You can range any object on the course, like the lip of a bunker, the far side of a pond, a tree, etc. to know exactly how far you need to carry the ball. This flexibility makes a laser much better than any GPS, and you don't pay a subscription or have to have a participating course to use the laser, it works anywhere.
A laser rangefinder will improve your game by first allowing you to learn what distance you hit every club in the bag, there is no guessing, you get instant feedback. Second if you play strange courses often it allows you to see the hole and plan a strategy from the tee. It is also amazing how many courses have yardage markers that are incorrect.
One important point!!!

This rangefinder is every bit as good as everyone says it is. But I think one point is not emphasized enough. With older range finders I've owned, you "shot" the flag. If you missed, you had to shoot it again...and again. And sometimes you just couldn't "hit" it. But with this Bushnell Pinseeker 1500, you don't have to nail it. Just aim it generally at the flag and move it around a bit. When it captures the flag, the yardage is locked in. So now my aim doesn't matter and I can shoot from much farther away and get the accurate distance in just a few seconds. It's awesome. And don't spend the extra $80 on the "slope" model. One, it's not legal and, two, can't you already tell when the hole is uphill or downhill? I think it's wasted money (although it DOES work as advertised). What a Christmas or birthday gift!!!

The 1500 Laser Rangefinder has performed just as I read in other reviews. I think the positives outweigh the negatives. I'm a 58 year old female and haven't had an issue with having a fairly steady hand to locate the pin. Objects behind the pin are picked up as well, however there is a method using the laser to eliminate those objects and just focus on the pin. Knowing the yardage to the pin has been very helpful. One still has to take all other factors into consideration as well...slope, speed of greens, wind, etc. Of course, you have to hit the ball correctly, too!

I have had the Pinseeker 1500 for over a year. It is a marvelous tool. I had the Yardage Pro Sport prior to this. The Pinseeker 1500 is soooo much better and faster. The only reason I didn't give it a 5, is because the one feature it doesn't have, that my buddies older range finder does have, is the telescope power. His is not as easy or accurate as the Pinseeker, but you can use his to see the ball on the green 200 yards away. Can't do that with the Pinseeker. So Bushnell, if you are listening... How much could it possibly add to the already lofty price?
ps-I have the slope edition. I agree that you don't need it and it's probably not worth the extra $50.

I did a lot of research before I purchased the Pinseeker 1500. I had already owned a Sky Caddie but was getting tired of paying a yearly fee so I thought this Bushnell device might be the answer. I am not disappointed. The only reason I did not give it five stars is it's a little shaky when you focus on the object your trying to get the distance on. Other than that it's great and will allow me to use it without any yearly fee.

I had previously bought a cheaper nikon range finder. I ended up taking it back and getting the pinseeker 1500 (non slope). It picks up the pin(doesn't need the flag) perfectly.. When rangefinders pick up the pin and some background clutter they always show you the farthest distance. this is because they are optimized for hunting (picking up a deer through the brush). the pinseeker always shows the closer object (optimized for golf). It's the best range finder I have used and all who see it agree. buy it.

This is a great device that works exactly as advertised _but_ it does not replace a pin sheet and/or GPS. If you're a 18 handicapper it is all you need. But if you're a low handicapper the pin is not always what you want to know, and it isn't necessarily that good for telling you the front and back of the green/ridges on greens, etc. For that reason I use it in conjunction with a GPS which tells me front/rear of green yardages. The GPS is not as good for pin yardages because I am telling it where the pin is, and I might be off in that regard.
br /
br /If I had to have only one device, I would go wtih GPS. Smart golf is about playing to the right parts of the greens, and a basic knowledge of where the pin is enough to know where that is. GPS is better at telling me the yardage to that "smart" location. But when there is a total "green light" flag, it is great to have that perfect accuracy that the laser gives you.
br /
br /Its also not useful if you're in the wrong fairway and have trees to carry, which makes having GPS a must as well.

This is my 3rd Bushnell rangefinder since 1998. The 1st one I bought is the 1st generation Bushnell, which is very bulky, but very durable. After 6 years of use, I upgraded to the Tour-XL in 2004. The Tour-Xl is a much better device than the 1st generation rangefinder. It's smaller in size, and can pick up the flags in distance in the Scan mode (in most cases, the 1st generation one can't give a reading to the flag 200 yards out because of hand shake). But you have to hold the fire button to search for the targets. It usually takes 3~4 seconds. In tournament play, pace of play is very important, these 3~4 seconds sometimes seem a little too long.
This Pinseeker does a lot better job than the Tour-XL in picking up small targets. And it does it easy. You just need to press the fire button once and aim it aound the target. It will give a reading almost immediately. It works great for me so far. Plus, this Pinseeker has a rugged design. It feels very solid and durable in your hands.

I am a near scratch golfer and have been playing golf for over 40 years. I recently bought the Bushnell 1500 Pinseeker with Slope. The technology behind this product is impressive but there are two points I'd like to make here.
br /After trying out the product this is my understanding on how the slope is calculated. The plus or minus yardage from the actual yardage is determined through some algebraic formula based on the actual yardage, the relative level you are to the target, and the trajectory on an average ball flight from that distance. Huh? Ok, what is the average trajectory of 120 yards or 210 yards for a shot? One person may hit a five iron from 150 yards and another may swing a wedge. Two different flight patterns from the same distance. I am a longer than average player to begin with. I hit a very high trajectory for most of my shots, including long irons, even when compared with players who are as long as I am. So not knowing what formula this is based on and what average trajectory, it still remains a guessing game (as to plus or minus yardage) and therefore defeats the purpose on principle. In my opinion it's a good gimmick but that's all.
br /Secondly, (and this is trump card for me) I was under the false impression that I could just "turn off" the slope feature during amateur tournament play thereby making the device legal. Unfortunately, this is not the case. In every aspect of golf the honor system applies but in this particular area the U.S.G.A. apparently doesn't trust you. The Pinseeker with Slope is illegal to use whether the slope feature is activated or not. Again, you cannot just turn this feature off and be in compliance.
br /So, If I could to do it all over again I would save the $50 and get the Pinseeker without the slope. Knowing the actual yardage is a great tool and I highly recommend the Pinseeker as it will improve your game but leave the slope.

This rangefinder is compact in size, not too heavy, comes with a suitable protective case, is remarkably easy to use. Expecially nice is the feature that provides only the nearest distance when the user may not be able to steady the device. If the device moves slightly from, say, the pin on the green to the trees behind the green, you don't have to guess which yardage is correct because only the closer yardage is displayed.

This rangefinder is great! Not only is it simple to use but it is deadly accurate. I have used it along with GPS on cart and it matches. Of course when you stand over the ball and get a distance, it is more accurate since you don't normally drive over the ball to get a distance. I would recommend this product to anyone. I know I have probably reduced my score by 2 strokes just by using this product. No longer have to rely on the eyes to make a guess. It's right there in the sight.

My wife and I bought the Pinseeker 1500 and we love it. I'm an 8, she's a 13. We both agree it saves us at least 2-3 strokes per round. It's very intuitive and easy to use. She "hits" targets with the laser for me and I "hit" hers. Saves time for both of us. We used to use course yardage markers and eyeball targets when we couldn't find those. Boy, have we found that both course yardage markers and our "eyeball" estimates were off sometimes. Now we know the yardage to the yard and that really gives us a lot of confidence in our club selection. This tool removes the guesswork and will save you strokes. Well worth the money.

The Bushnell Pinseeker 1500 Laser Rangefinder builds your shot making confidence by taking away any doubt you may have in which club to use for any given shot, you know the distance. I have played rounds with someone using a GPS device and the distances are equal, but I have the advantage since I can play on ANY course, not just ones which have been mapped for GPS. The product is accurate, and easy to use. It is a great timesaver in that you don't have to waste time finding markers and pacing off distances that generally get you to +/- 3 yards at best. The only occasional hiccup is that it is sometimes difficult to catch the flag in front of trees that are fairly close behind the green. Steady hand has not been a problem- either standing or sitting in cart.

With the rangefinder being a recent Holiday present using the product for the first time was highly anticipated.
The unit is easy to handle due to its reasonable weight and style. While the carry case is solid to protect the product, I chose not to wear it playing. Wearing a 'man purse' is a matter of personal choice as well.
The product brochure stated the eye piece could be used in either the 'closed' or 'open/extended' position, I found only the extended eye lens was practical. Once that minor gaffe was solved picking up the yardage to the flag on a sunny January So. Cal morning was a breeze...into or away from the sun.
After a couple of holes the others in the 'pick-up' group stopped asking their regular with a GPS device for yardages because they found those readings off by up to 7 yards. With a practice of not participating in wagering with strangers I was happy to provide the distances.
I am looking forward to using the Pro 1500 (without elevation) in an upcoming tournament..when it can start paying for itself!

What a nice piece of equipment. I bought this for my dad for Christmas. He love's it. We used it golfing yesterday and it is so easy to lock onto the flag and get a distance. Since they are USGA legal now, this unit is a must have. It also has 7x magnification which helps you get a good look at your target. Most of the lower end models have little to no magnification, so while you think you are getting a good deal, you will probably be getting a lot of wrong yardages.

This product works well. I am pleased with the purchase. I tested it against a sophisticated cart GPS system and it was always on the mark. Even with the cart GPS available, the Bushnell came in handy many times, such as when we couldn't get the cart close to the ball, or when I wanted to check yardages for spots not on the GPS screen. It has some magnification, so it made just spotting the flag easier on longer distances. The carrying case is nice, especially with the magnetic flap. I had some trouble shooting the pin on a couple of holes, but it was windy that day. I just waited for someone to grab the flag or pull their ball out of the hole to get a reading on them instead. If you're serious about improving your GIR, I recommend this product. One additional note: This thing is very useful on the driving range as well.

I have only played 1 round using the Bushnell Pinseeler and I can already see how it will improve my game by 2 or 3 strokes a round. Mabe more. Now I know exactly how far the flag is which keeps me from making wrong club choices. It also gives me more confidence which lowers my score as well. The rangefinder itself works great. It is easy to operate and very fast. Some think rangefinders make the game solwer but actually you spend less time deciding on what club to use so the game goes faster. I would recommend the pinseeker to anyone seeking to improve their game. The only thing it doesn't do a good job at is improving your swing:)

I thought I would be too lazy to use a rangefinder for all my shots. I thought my hands would shake too much for me to get an accurate reading every time. I was wrong on all accounts. After just a few minutes of practice at objects in my neighborhood my hand became steady enough for the rangefinder. Due to the "pinseeker" technolgy, you don't need a perfectly steady hand. Once on the course, i used it for all shots under 200 yards. It takes a matter of seconds to get your hands steady and get an instant reading. I was concerned I would slow down the group behind me. That was never the case. The group in front of me actually took longer trying to find sprinkler heads to get a distance estimation. I would now recommend this over a GPS unit because I had the ability to find distances to bunkers and other objects (not all GPS units have all objects listed). Finally the slope reading was awesome (GPS units cannot do that). I had a serious advantage over my friend because not only did I have distance, but I had adjusted distance due to the slope readings. This unit was worth the extra money.

Excellent product, but does require a steady hand at more than 125 yards from the flag due to 7 power optics. Have verified the distances shown using friends GPS units and found that it is most accurate.

I am throughly pleased with the performance of the range finder especially the slope calculator. It is great for the average golfer that knows how far they hit their individual clubs because this product will give you the confidence to pull it and hit it knowing you have chosen the right club. Now, if someone would invent a product that would tell me when I am aiming at the wrong target with my clubs I would be a much better golfer. Seriously, Bushnell has created a very good product.

Overall this Bushnell rangefinder works well. I was surprised and a little disappointed with its size. It is larger than I thought it would be. The last rangefinder I had (Nikon) was small enough to put in my pocket. This one is not. It does, however, do a good job of giving me accurate yardage for all targets on the golf course. I enjoy it very much and recommend it without hesitation.

br /
br /Pro's
br /-very accurate, high quality optics
br /-waterproof design
br /-more versatile compared to the gps units (able to find distances from whatever object you wish)
br /
br /Cons:
br /-more bulky. This fits in a large pocket, but barely
br /-does not have a belt clip design. It would be nice to be able to just clip this directly to your belt, with a similar design to the garmin golflogic which has a brilliant belt clip design

The Pinseeker 1500 is the most accurate & easy to use device on the market. Since I play mostly on flat Florida courses, I didn't need the unit with the slope option. Other golfers use the Skycaddie but with this unit you have to download specific golf course information from your computer to that device to make it operational.
In all cases, The Bushnell 1500 laser rangefinder gives you accurate distances right to the flag so I know what club to use, especially within 180 yards.

I find the Rangefinder easy to use and extremely accurate. The real advantage of having a rangefinder is inside of 100 yards, when knowing that I'm 57 yards, not 50 yards, from the pin can save a stroke. (Knowing that I'm 157 and not 150 out rarely matters in my score, although even in that case I like to be confident in the distance.) Calculating distances using sprinkler heads just isn't as accurate when the pin is not in the center of the green (i.e., on 2/3 of all holes).

I purchased the Bushnell Yardage Pro over the holidays and have used it numerous times. Unlike SkyCaddy, you can use the pinseeker feature to get exact yardage to the stick. ( for Skycaddy you have to move the cursor and guess where the stick is on the green) I was able to sight the flag stick with my glasses on and pick it up on the first try about 90% of the time. Occasionally I would get false readings since they were no where close to assumed yardage, but after a few tries, I got the reading I was looking for. Also, this device worked well on picking up the face of sand traps. Lastly, at $299, it is a best value rangefinder and it can be used on any course without having to download course info from the internet.

It works as advertised and is fairly easy to use. Now I can concentrate on my swing and not have my mind wondering if I figure out the distance correctly or not. With this confidence, I already shaved off a few strokes. When I first got it, I was worried about the size being troublesome to carry around when golfing, it would be nice if they could come up with a smaller package while retaining all the features, but in the end, I discover by strapping it around the top of my golf bag where it doesn't interferer with the pockets, it is actually quite easy to remove and store using the magnetic flip top.

I wasn't too sure about whether to buy a GPS or a laser rangefinder. Both have pros and cons, but I'm glad I chose to go with the Bushnell Yardage Pro Pinseeker 1500 Slope Edition.
br /
br /I have a buddy that has a Sky Caddie GPS and it seems to work fine. However, often the battery runs down and about half way through the round, we're out of luck. When we first used my Bushnell, he was asking me for precise measurements. It's nice to know exactly what club I should pull.
br /
br /It does take a little getting use to though. You have to make sure your hand is steady and that you're hitting the target you're shooting. Other than that, which really isn't a big deal, it's great! I look forward to many happy rounds with my personal caddie.

tired of guessing at the yardage to the pin or a fairway bunker? the golf pinseeker speeds up the game and helps you determine the exact distance to the pin, or a fairway bunker, before you select your club. I can't rely on my eyesight or judgement to determine distance so I used to spend alot of time looking for fairway yardage markers and then adjusting for my ball position. before i purchased the golf pinseeker i looked at prologix and skycaddie and decided that this product was more flexible, and less expensive, for my needs. a must buy.

I bought this Bushnell Yardage Pro Golf Pinseeker 1500 Slope Edition Laser Rangefinder with Slope Calculator about a month ago. I enjoy using it. If you are good consistent golfer it can be very handy to accurately know the distance to your target. The slope calculator is a real plus in that it allows you to know how to compensate your play due to the degree of slope between you and the target. Although not impossible, I have found that I have trouble holding the Rangefinder steady while I aim it at the target location. I would recommend getting some sort of tripod, monopod, or clip on camera mount so that you can attach the Rangefinder to a stable surface such as your golf cart to enable you to easily get an accurate reading of the distance to your target. I purchased Sunpak ClampPod Pro Clamping Tripod from Amazon and it works well to attach the Rangefinder to my pull-cart.
br /Overall I like this item. It is easy to use and lightweight. It is a little pricey, buy hey, no one said golf is cheap.

GPS and laser rangefinder (LRF) technologies each have distinct pros and cons. I chose the LRF mainly because 1) it got better reviews from users, 2) it doesn't require course loading, 3) it doesn't require annual fees and 4) I was impressed with it when I saw a friend use it. But I still wasn't sure how much its negatives vs GPS (mainly the line of sight requirement) would diminish its usefulness on the course.
br /
br /Now that I've used it for a few rounds, I'm really enamored with it. It's much more flexible than I thought it would be. One thing I don't like about GPS units is that they haven't mapped enough points from tee to green. With the LRF I can always find some useful target to measure. A tree, bunker, 150 pole, a person, a mound, etc, etc.
br /
br /GPS companies will say that the most useful yardages are to front, middle and back of greens. That's arguable. For me, having the distance to the pin +/- 1 yard is amazing. On most courses you at least know if the pin is cut front, middle or back. With that info and the exact yardage to the hole, I step up with a lot of confidence in my club and shot selection.
br /
br /Yes, I find it gets a bit more tricky to hit the flag from about 220 and beyond, but I've found tricks to get better at that and you will too. Plus, if I'm over 200, I just make sure that I have some clue where I am as a sanity check. If Bushnell figures out how to incorporate optical image stabalization into these units, that'll make them even better. But for now this is just fine.
br /
br /Some people wonder if having to look through the binoculars as opposed to looking down at a GPS unit is a disadvantage. For me it's a non-issue in part because the LRF locks on target so quickly.
br /
br /I love this golf gadget. It sure makes the round more pleasant than pacing off yardages, speeds pace of play, and I can honestly say that I think it's saving me strokes already. What a great toy. Get it as a gift if you can. ;)

I've used this product for a few weeks and it works great! It can easily pick up a flagstick at over 300 yds. As mentioned in some of the other reviews, the less expensive range finders have difficulty in acquiring the flag (unless the wind is blowing). I tried one last year and took it back because it was basically useless. The 1500 performs exactly as advertised.

I looked at several different options for distance finders and ultimately decided on this model for two reasons 1) it is tournament legal for USGA events and 2) it is the most accurate of the golf rangefinder products on the market. If you are considering the GPS systems, remember that they are often off by 3-4 yards and don't give you an exact distance to the pin. I've stood by my friends with the GPS systems and ultimately I am always more accurate. In addition, you can't use the GPS systems in USGA events. Don't purchase the the model with a slope calculator because it isn't legal for use in USGA events.

I did a lot of research before buying the Pinseeker 1500 and can say I am 100% satisfied. Don't underestimate the value of the magnification also. My friend had a cheaper laser and when we were over 175 yards, his was very challenging to line up on the flag. The Pinseeker quickly gets the yardage for you which eliminates any guess work. That equates to one big thing in your game - confidence. It also stops your brain from wondering if you have the right club, etc. It's like having a caddy with you. Awesome product and should take some strokes off your game. Lastly, it's great pointing at the trouble and knowing how far that is to clear. That's as important as knowing the distance to the flag. What a wonderful tool to help you score better.

Golfers depend on accurate yardage to determine both club and shot shape. This Bushnell 1500 range finder with slope gives you fast and accurate information. I've used this at my home club and determined that the yardage markers and GAM markers are good indicators of "the middle of the green" but can be off as much as 10 -15 yards depending on the flag location.
br /
br /I like the slope indicator and found that what I would estimate as a full club or more is often only a half club. The use of the rangefinder has improved my GIR with first use. This is easy and fast to use once you get used to it. It is especially fast if your cart partner assists with the rangefinding as you prepare for the shot.

I purchased this product due to pinseeker feature when my previous Bushnell rangefinder LED display faded after many years of use. The new pinseeker feature makes this rangefinder a vast improvement over the original in terms of locking onto the yardage to the pin. I was amazed and very impressed with this feature. The 7x reticle also make it much easier to lock onto the pin (or any other object on the course), but it does make holding it steady more of a challenge when ranging distances over 175 yards.
br /
br /In comparison to the Sky Caddie product which provides distance to front, back and middle of green and some other features on the hole. The rangefinder provides exact distance to the pin; to the pin placement on any particular day. One can also range to the back and front of the green; the obvious disadvantage of a rangefinder is that its a line-of-sight device. Another use my rangefinder has is off the tee; to scope the yardages where there is trouble.
br /
br /I am very satisfied with my purchase.

I recently puchased the Bushnell Pinseeker 1500 to replace my Leica Rangefinder. This is my third rangefinder and definitely the best one. It is so much easier to lock onto the flag with this upgraded rangefinder. The pinseeker locks in quickly and accurately. I used to take 3 readings to be sure I had the flag and not the background, but that's no longer necessary. The slope calculator is great too. I am a roaming golfer who rarely plays the same course twice in a season. This tool really helps me select the right club when I play from differing elevations.
br /
br /This is a great supplement to my Skycaddie SG5 GPS. The GPS is fast and works great when I can't see the green, but the laser is still more accurate and lets you pick out the range to various targets like traps, lakes and woods which helps me keep from hitting into danger on courses I don't know well. I'm glad I've got it on my bag.

The first time I saw this used was during a friendly round with a tour player. I couldn't believe how inaccurate my distances were when using the sprinkler heads. My handicap has dropped from a 10 to an 8 since purchasing the 1500 with slope. Standing over a shot with confidence in the club you are hitting makes all the difference. Downhill shots using the slope feature has taken the guessing out of club selection. It also saves you the time walking around and pacing off distances from the markers. My friends will not hit a shot without getting a distance from the rangefinder.

This is the most useful golf tool you can buy. It is dead-on accurate for distance and adjusts distance to account for slope up or down. What club do you hit when you know its 150 yards up hill? This little device won't tell you what club to hit, but it will tell you that the 150 yards is going to play like 165 yards (slope adjusted). Now all we need is a device that measures distance, slope and WIND speed!

The Pinseeker 1500 works great. It easily finds the pin from 250+ yards out in pinseeker mode. The one button operation couldn't be easier and the accuracy is identical to golf cart GPS. The only issue I have is the button location. I left the Pinseeker 1500 in its case in my bag and laid the bag in my trunk. The weight of the bag pushed the button down and I had a drained battery the next time I went to use it.

Thanks for your feedback
Sorry to disappoint new potential buyers for this item, but after agonizing for many days on whether to spend the $338 for the Pinseeker 1500, I took all the good reviews to heart and dialed in my "Place Order." Only then did I find out that there would be $40 added for shipping. After calling Beach Camera for clarification, I was told that they do not even have the 1500 in stock. Amazon, get your act in order!
