Surprised my husband with the Pinseeker 1500 for Christmas, we "BOTH" love it!! It is soooo "user friendly" and best of all "visually" user friendly! GREAT for the visually impaired over age "40" group who depend on the "Walgreen's" reading glasses! No need for glasses or lenghty instruction books-just aim at the flag and click the button-shows two distances. The actual distance and the distance it should play because of the slope!! Having the SLOPE FINDER is the most important aspect-this is what gives you the ACCURATE yardage. The "slope" differance" is what normally what makes the difference of which club to use. Many of the cheaper models do not allow for the slope-so what good is that, there's plenty yard markers on a course? It was fun to see what the course yardage markers read and then what the scope finder tells you. Makes your club selection so much more accurate! It's price is on the higher side, but for the quality, it's WELL worth it. My husband had tried a friends cheaper version, he actually could not use it because it was so hard visually to read. Before you buy one, be sure to check that out! Word of warning, your golfing partners will love to be in your golf group, asking you the yardage on "their" shots too!!

As another viewer mentioned-it's the best club in the bag, we HIGHLY reccomend it!!! Now....if it could only make the ball actually go to that exact spot, we'd all be happy golfers!!!

I have only used it a few times and like it, especially the slope feature (I'm not a tournament player), but I must point out that it took me a while to learn to steady it enough to get good readings. It still takes me too long to get readings when the flag is more than 200 yds away, especially when there is no wind and when the background is cluttered. Perhaps I will get better results with more use and practice. I play with friends who are low handicappers (I'm not) and who don't waste time on the course. While they ask me for readings when the slope of a hole is great, I usually don't have much time to get readings and keep playing at a steady pace. The instruction manual is too sketchy for my liking.

Seeing is believing...

I love my rangefinder! I've had it since Oct.2006 and forgot it at home only once.
I've trusted my Pinseeker over tee box yardage markers, a myriad of GPS in-cart units, sprinker heads and the usual variety of yardage to the center of the green course markers 200, 150, 100. I believe what it tells me and it has been highly accurate. I'm reluctant to share the yardage info with my fellow players unless asked, to avoid chatty debates and responsibility for their errant shots.(you'd be surprised...)

A few things to be aware are, the flags must be clearly visable of distant out of focus shrub branches that can interfere with the laser sensor, low light overcast conditions can be difficult to accurately measure distance and lastly, if you've heavily consumed too much COFFEE or too many martinis the night before, shakiness will prevail. You may want to add a tripod to your bag. % )

I bought this rangefinder to take to Myrtle Beach for a golf outing. Since we play a different course every day, I hoped it would give me true yardages on a course I hadn't played before. It out performed my expectations. Every golfer knows that the yardages on the course are to the center of the green. But some greens are 1 to 2 club lengths more. This rangefinder gave perfect yardages for me.
This rangefinder has three modes of operation. You can use it for hunting with the first mode, which just gives you yardage to any target you aim at. The second mode is the pin seeker mode for golf. You aim at the flag and press the button and it gives you the yardage to the flag. The third mode is the pin seeker w/slope mode for golf. You also aim at the flag and it gives you the distance to the pin plus or minus the slope to the green(this mode is illegal for USGA tournaments).
It was very helpful off the tee. You could aim it at a fairway bunker or hazard from the tee and you could get a yardage that would let you know whether you could carry it.
I found it very easy to operate and a great product.

I considered various alternatives of rangefinders and am thrilled that I chose both this type and this model. It is easy to use, has great features and is very accurate. I primarily use just the distance feature, but for non-competitive rounds the effective distance feature taking into consideration upward or downward slope is very cool. I also like the carrying case which can be attached to a bag or pull cart and provides easy accessibility to the rangefinder. I just returned from a trip to Ireland where many of the courses have few if any distance markers. It was indespensible.

This Bushnell 1500 Rangefinder with Slope was a birthday replacement for an older model I've had for years. The pinseeker mode was a wonderfully pleasant surprise. With my old model, sometimes I'd try to shoot a flag from about 200 yards out and, if it was hanging limp, I might "shoot" it 10 or 15 times and not get it. But with this new rangefinder it's not a problem because I just have to point in the direction of the flag and keep moving it around a little bit until it nails the flag, then promptly displays the shorter of the yardages it obtained. Now I can shoot from any distance and get the exact yardage within 3 seconds at most. I promise you this feature alone makes it worth any extra money over buying a rangefinder that can't make these "continuous" readings. But I now wish my wife hadn't spent the extra money to get the slope feature. It works sure enough, but I find it of little or no value. I'm a golfer, after all, and I know pretty well how much club to add on or take off for most slopes better than a robot calculation based strictly on the angle of the slope. For example, it doesn't calculate wind or lack thereof, and that's just as important as slope to a successful golf shot. Great product!

They finally got it RIGHT!!!!!

This is my third Bushnell in 5 years (lost one, the other was no good over 150 yds). This is one great piece of equipment. Everyone that uses it just smiles. The Vertical yardage is great, but its like have a tach in your car, after a couple of weeks you know how much to add for elevation. Leaves its predecessors/competition in the dust. You should buy this for two reasons:
1) It is UNCANNY how fast it finds the flag, just have to get it close.
2) It finds an object at 350 yards as easy as it does at 100. It just finds flags faster.
This is probably the only piece of equipment in my bag that I did not pay to much for.

I was initially very skeptical of rangefinders after using a friends and not being able to easily acquire the target. Once I decided on this model and used it I haven't got one bad thing to say about it. Target acquisition is super fast and accurate, just point at the flagstick or target needing yardage feedback and it shoots it with the correct yardage immediately. Buy this unit with no doubts that you will have purchased the best rangefinder available. I have gotten yardages from the flag at over 280 yards with it so far and I'm sure it will go further than that once I try. It gives you total confidence that you are using the right club and you will soon know exactly how far you hit each club to the yard. No more guesswork.

I've tested the Bushnell Yardage Pro Golf Pinseeker 1500 Laser Rangefinder w/Slope on several courses and find the yardage detection to be "Dead-On". It's very light and easy to use. The 7x magnification makes it so easy to zero in on the target (pin, front & back of bunkers, front of green, far side of hazard, etc.). I always take 2 or 3 readings, to make sure of the distance. The slope is nice as it calculates the actual yardage, the degree of elevation and most helpful, the effective yardage. Now, all I have to think about is hitting the target!

I did a lot of research before I purchased the Pinseeker 1500. I had already owned a Sky Caddie but was getting tired of paying a yearly fee so I thought this Bushnell device might be the answer. I am not disappointed. The only reason I did not give it five stars is it's a little shaky when you focus on the object your trying to get the distance on. Other than that it's great and will allow me to use it without any yearly fee.

The Pinseeker 1500 is a true golfer's edge. Easy and quick to use, it gives golfers the distance measurements they need from wherever they happen to be on the course. The correction for elevation can make a big difference , especially on unfamiliar courses. The ability to measure distances to bunkers and hazzards is a real aid to effective course-management. It's a gadget you'll wonder how you ever did without.

I purchased the Pinseeker 1500 w/slope after making a trip to Hawaii and playing golf with a friend who had one. It has given me very accurate distances to the hole from my position on the fairway (and woods too). I have played golf now for over 40 years and this is probably the single most important investment I have made. The Pinseeker did not have everything to do with my first hole in one, but it gave me the proper distance to the hole from the tee and I used my five iron to hit the ball 172 yards for my first ace. The ease of use and valuable information it gives makes it a "no brainer" for the serious golfer. It has also allowed me to get yardages much quicker therefore speeding up my rounds. I highly recommend the Bushness Pinseeker 1500 w/slope!

Very accurate and easy to use. I was amazed at how little elevation actually changes distance but those yards do make a difference in club selection. I also noticed that play is sped up since no time is lost seaching for course yardage markers and walking off distances.

This is a great device that works exactly as advertised _but_ it does not replace a pin sheet and/or GPS. If you're a 18 handicapper it is all you need. But if you're a low handicapper the pin is not always what you want to know, and it isn't necessarily that good for telling you the front and back of the green/ridges on greens, etc. For that reason I use it in conjunction with a GPS which tells me front/rear of green yardages. The GPS is not as good for pin yardages because I am telling it where the pin is, and I might be off in that regard.
br /
br /If I had to have only one device, I would go wtih GPS. Smart golf is about playing to the right parts of the greens, and a basic knowledge of where the pin is enough to know where that is. GPS is better at telling me the yardage to that "smart" location. But when there is a total "green light" flag, it is great to have that perfect accuracy that the laser gives you.
br /
br /Its also not useful if you're in the wrong fairway and have trees to carry, which makes having GPS a must as well.

Golf Rangefinder in Thailand

I purchased this golf rangefinder for my use in golfing in Thailand and it has amazed all of my friends and the golf caddies in Thailand. Most people stare at me and think I am using a camera, but when I show them how to use the raangel they all want to try and use it themselves.

Some of the yardage markers on the Thailand golf courses are off by as much as 10 yards, which is around 1 club difference. This can have a big effect, especially when hitting a 6 or 7 iron for example. I find this to equate to around 2-3 saved strokes a round, not bad for the $400 dollar investment!

The slope feature on the other hand is more of a gimmick and not really needed. If I had to purchase again I would go for the normal model, without the slope feature. It is less expensive and legal for use even in tournaments!

Check out http://www.golfasian.com for some more information.

I am a near scratch golfer and have been playing golf for over 40 years. I recently bought the Bushnell 1500 Pinseeker with Slope. The technology behind this product is impressive but there are two points I'd like to make here.
br /After trying out the product this is my understanding on how the slope is calculated. The plus or minus yardage from the actual yardage is determined through some algebraic formula based on the actual yardage, the relative level you are to the target, and the trajectory on an average ball flight from that distance. Huh? Ok, what is the average trajectory of 120 yards or 210 yards for a shot? One person may hit a five iron from 150 yards and another may swing a wedge. Two different flight patterns from the same distance. I am a longer than average player to begin with. I hit a very high trajectory for most of my shots, including long irons, even when compared with players who are as long as I am. So not knowing what formula this is based on and what average trajectory, it still remains a guessing game (as to plus or minus yardage) and therefore defeats the purpose on principle. In my opinion it's a good gimmick but that's all.
br /Secondly, (and this is trump card for me) I was under the false impression that I could just "turn off" the slope feature during amateur tournament play thereby making the device legal. Unfortunately, this is not the case. In every aspect of golf the honor system applies but in this particular area the U.S.G.A. apparently doesn't trust you. The Pinseeker with Slope is illegal to use whether the slope feature is activated or not. Again, you cannot just turn this feature off and be in compliance.
br /So, If I could to do it all over again I would save the $50 and get the Pinseeker without the slope. Knowing the actual yardage is a great tool and I highly recommend the Pinseeker as it will improve your game but leave the slope.

This rangefinder is compact in size, not too heavy, comes with a suitable protective case, is remarkably easy to use. Expecially nice is the feature that provides only the nearest distance when the user may not be able to steady the device. If the device moves slightly from, say, the pin on the green to the trees behind the green, you don't have to guess which yardage is correct because only the closer yardage is displayed.

So far, the slope calculator hasn't been necessary. Rarely have I seen a slope more than 2 degrees. It's a great tool.

The product does everything it is represented to do. It has really helped in club selection and imrpove warmup and practice sessions. When on the driving range, you can check the distances shown by the course to see if they are correct...they never are! You could be thinking you are hitting a specific club 150 yards, but are actually short of the distance or even long if you area a big hitter. That also transfers out to the course. When they mow, or move the pin, the distances can change by many yards, this is where the Pinseeker excels. With the slope feature turned on, you will get the most accurate distance imaginable. A definite plus for any golfer who wants to improve his club selection, consistency, and overall game!

What a great product. This is a great product because one can measure the actual distance to the flag. This is especially true when the flag is never actually perfectly positiioned at the center of the green. Golf is supposed to be a game of skill rather than a game of luck. When you know the distance, it takes the guessing factor out of the equation.

In my opinion, knowing the actual distance can lead to more birdies and eagles. It also can measure the distance to the flag on short par 4s that have a dogleg. This can tell you exactly how far you need to hit it to drive the green. Have Fun!

Peace and Happiness,

I thought I would be too lazy to use a rangefinder for all my shots. I thought my hands would shake too much for me to get an accurate reading every time. I was wrong on all accounts. After just a few minutes of practice at objects in my neighborhood my hand became steady enough for the rangefinder. Due to the "pinseeker" technolgy, you don't need a perfectly steady hand. Once on the course, i used it for all shots under 200 yards. It takes a matter of seconds to get your hands steady and get an instant reading. I was concerned I would slow down the group behind me. That was never the case. The group in front of me actually took longer trying to find sprinkler heads to get a distance estimation. I would now recommend this over a GPS unit because I had the ability to find distances to bunkers and other objects (not all GPS units have all objects listed). Finally the slope reading was awesome (GPS units cannot do that). I had a serious advantage over my friend because not only did I have distance, but I had adjusted distance due to the slope readings. This unit was worth the extra money.

I first tried SkyCaddie, and liked it until slow lock on, short battery life and bad readings started happening more and more often. The laser rangefinder is accurate to within a yard, the battery last a year (its only on for a few seconds per hole and turns itself off. The one advantage SkyCaddie has is yardage to hazards, the end of fairways etc. but is easily worked around with the laser rangefinder, just shot the object (it can distance anything, not just the pin).

This product works well. I am pleased with the purchase. I tested it against a sophisticated cart GPS system and it was always on the mark. Even with the cart GPS available, the Bushnell came in handy many times, such as when we couldn't get the cart close to the ball, or when I wanted to check yardages for spots not on the GPS screen. It has some magnification, so it made just spotting the flag easier on longer distances. The carrying case is nice, especially with the magnetic flap. I had some trouble shooting the pin on a couple of holes, but it was windy that day. I just waited for someone to grab the flag or pull their ball out of the hole to get a reading on them instead. If you're serious about improving your GIR, I recommend this product. One additional note: This thing is very useful on the driving range as well.

The Bushnell Yardage Pro Golf Pinseeker 1500 Laser Rangfinder is easy to use and very accurate. I really like the pin mode indicator that lets you know when you have a lock onto the pin without picking up trees or other objects in the background. It provides the yardage information very quickly and doesn't slow down play. Of course the Bushnell optics are second to none and the adjustable eyepiece is another handy feature.
br /The only minor complaint I have is the case that comes with it. It's too bulky and awkward to handle and stow away. Don't know if it will make you a better golfer, but if you are in the market for a reliable, accurate rangefinder, I highly recommend the Bushnell Pro Golf Pinseeker 1500.

Now I know exactly how far the flag is which keeps me from making wrong club choices. It also gives me more confidence which lowers my score as well. The rangefinder itself works great. It is easy to operate and very fast. Some think rangefinders make the game solwer but actually you spend less time deciding on what club to use so the game goes faster. I would recommend the pinseeker to anyone seeking to improve their game. The only thing it doesn't do a good job at is improving your swing:)

The product is accurate, and easy to use. It is a great timesaver in that you don't have to waste time finding markers and pacing off distances that generally get you to +/- 3 yards at best. The only occasional hiccup is that it is sometimes difficult to catch the flag in front of trees that are fairly close behind the green. Steady hand has not been a problem- either standing or sitting in cart.

I find this product to be very good. Somewhat hard to hold steady on the flag unless using the golf cart for support thus causing misreads on occasion. When held steady it is right on every time. I find the slope feature to be very helpful especially when visiting unfamiliar courses.
br /
br /The finder is more bulky and heavy than some of the other range finders but I don't find that to be a problem.

I am throughly pleased with the performance of the range finder especially the slope calculator. It is great for the average golfer that knows how far they hit their individual clubs because this product will give you the confidence to pull it and hit it knowing you have chosen the right club. Now, if someone would invent a product that would tell me when I am aiming at the wrong target with my clubs I would be a much better golfer. Seriously, Bushnell has created a very good product.

Overall this Bushnell rangefinder works well. I was surprised and a little disappointed with its size. It is larger than I thought it would be. The last rangefinder I had (Nikon) was small enough to put in my pocket. This one is not. It does, however, do a good job of giving me accurate yardage for all targets on the golf course. I enjoy it very much and recommend it without hesitation.

Used this about 7 times on a course. This was to replace the garmin golflogic (last years model) which was not accurate enough.
br /
br /Pro's
br /-very accurate, high quality optics
br /-waterproof design
br /-more versatile compared to the gps units (able to find distances from whatever object you wish)
br /
br /Cons:
br /-more bulky. This fits in a large pocket, but barely
br /-does not have a belt clip design. It would be nice to be able to just clip this directly to your belt, with a similar design to the garmin golflogic which has a brilliant belt clip design
br /
br /Bottom line, this is must better than the garmin gps unit.

Made a big difference on my approach shots and has been invaluable on the par 3s. Don't be afraid to spend the extra $ for the slope model unless you play in USGA events (but really, how many USGA events do you play in?) Well worth the money spent!

I use this on the driving range to find the best distance off of my clubs and its certainly helped! Being in Hawaii, we have a lot of courses with slopes on them and whew.. Cannot tell you how many times I trusted this instead of instincts and saved a few balls from the Water Gods.

We use this product for quick estimates for irrigation and drainage as well as yardages in our golf course construction business. It is always accurate to within a meter/yard. Saves a lot of time versus walking off distances with a measuring wheel. The slope feature also gives us a quick idea on whether a drain line is falling or not. All of this helps a lot in reducing the need for our survey crew's time as well. Very happy with this product!

It works as advertised and is fairly easy to use. Now I can concentrate on my swing and not have my mind wondering if I figure out the distance correctly or not. With this confidence, I already shaved off a few strokes. When I first got it, I was worried about the size being troublesome to carry around when golfing, it would be nice if they could come up with a smaller package while retaining all the features, but in the end, I discover by strapping it around the top of my golf bag where it doesn't interferer with the pockets, it is actually quite easy to remove and store using the magnetic flip top.

I wasn't too sure about whether to buy a GPS or a laser rangefinder. Both have pros and cons, but I'm glad I chose to go with the Bushnell Yardage Pro Pinseeker 1500 Slope Edition.
br /
br /I have a buddy that has a Sky Caddie GPS and it seems to work fine. However, often the battery runs down and about half way through the round, we're out of luck. When we first used my Bushnell, he was asking me for precise measurements. It's nice to know exactly what club I should pull.
br /
br /It does take a little getting use to though. You have to make sure your hand is steady and that you're hitting the target you're shooting. Other than that, which really isn't a big deal, it's great! I look forward to many happy rounds with my personal caddie.

tired of guessing at the yardage to the pin or a fairway bunker? the golf pinseeker speeds up the game and helps you determine the exact distance to the pin, or a fairway bunker, before you select your club. I can't rely on my eyesight or judgement to determine distance so I used to spend alot of time looking for fairway yardage markers and then adjusting for my ball position. before i purchased the golf pinseeker i looked at prologix and skycaddie and decided that this product was more flexible, and less expensive, for my needs. a must buy.

I bought this Bushnell Yardage Pro Golf Pinseeker 1500 Slope Edition Laser Rangefinder with Slope Calculator about a month ago. I enjoy using it. If you are good consistent golfer it can be very handy to accurately know the distance to your target. The slope calculator is a real plus in that it allows you to know how to compensate your play due to the degree of slope between you and the target. Although not impossible, I have found that I have trouble holding the Rangefinder steady while I aim it at the target location. I would recommend getting some sort of tripod, monopod, or clip on camera mount so that you can attach the Rangefinder to a stable surface such as your golf cart to enable you to easily get an accurate reading of the distance to your target. I purchased Sunpak ClampPod Pro Clamping Tripod from Amazon and it works well to attach the Rangefinder to my pull-cart.
br /Overall I like this item. It is easy to use and lightweight. It is a little pricey, buy hey, no one said golf is cheap.

GPS and laser rangefinder (LRF) technologies each have distinct pros and cons. I chose the LRF mainly because 1) it got better reviews from users, 2) it doesn't require course loading, 3) it doesn't require annual fees and 4) I was impressed with it when I saw a friend use it. But I still wasn't sure how much its negatives vs GPS (mainly the line of sight requirement) would diminish its usefulness on the course.
br /
br /Now that I've used it for a few rounds, I'm really enamored with it. It's much more flexible than I thought it would be. One thing I don't like about GPS units is that they haven't mapped enough points from tee to green. With the LRF I can always find some useful target to measure. A tree, bunker, 150 pole, a person, a mound, etc, etc.
br /
br /GPS companies will say that the most useful yardages are to front, middle and back of greens. That's arguable. For me, having the distance to the pin +/- 1 yard is amazing. On most courses you at least know if the pin is cut front, middle or back. With that info and the exact yardage to the hole, I step up with a lot of confidence in my club and shot selection.
br /
br /Yes, I find it gets a bit more tricky to hit the flag from about 220 and beyond, but I've found tricks to get better at that and you will too. Plus, if I'm over 200, I just make sure that I have some clue where I am as a sanity check. If Bushnell figures out how to incorporate optical image stabalization into these units, that'll make them even better. But for now this is just fine.
br /
br /Some people wonder if having to look through the binoculars as opposed to looking down at a GPS unit is a disadvantage. For me it's a non-issue in part because the LRF locks on target so quickly.
br /
br /I love this golf gadget. It sure makes the round more pleasant than pacing off yardages, speeds pace of play, and I can honestly say that I think it's saving me strokes already. What a great toy. Get it as a gift if you can. ;)

I've used this product for a few weeks and it works great! It can easily pick up a flagstick at over 300 yds. As mentioned in some of the other reviews, the less expensive range finders have difficulty in acquiring the flag (unless the wind is blowing). I tried one last year and took it back because it was basically useless. The 1500 performs exactly as advertised.

I looked at several different options for distance finders and ultimately decided on this model for two reasons 1) it is tournament legal for USGA events and 2) it is the most accurate of the golf rangefinder products on the market. If you are considering the GPS systems, remember that they are often off by 3-4 yards and don't give you an exact distance to the pin. I've stood by my friends with the GPS systems and ultimately I am always more accurate. In addition, you can't use the GPS systems in USGA events. Don't purchase the the model with a slope calculator because it isn't legal for use in USGA events.

I did a lot of research before buying the Pinseeker 1500 and can say I am 100% satisfied. Don't underestimate the value of the magnification also. My friend had a cheaper laser and when we were over 175 yards, his was very challenging to line up on the flag. The Pinseeker quickly gets the yardage for you which eliminates any guess work. That equates to one big thing in your game - confidence. It also stops your brain from wondering if you have the right club, etc. It's like having a caddy with you. Awesome product and should take some strokes off your game. Lastly, it's great pointing at the trouble and knowing how far that is to clear. That's as important as knowing the distance to the flag. What a wonderful tool to help you score better.

Golfers depend on accurate yardage to determine both club and shot shape. This Bushnell 1500 range finder with slope gives you fast and accurate information. I've used this at my home club and determined that the yardage markers and GAM markers are good indicators of "the middle of the green" but can be off as much as 10 -15 yards depending on the flag location.
br /
br /I like the slope indicator and found that what I would estimate as a full club or more is often only a half club. The use of the rangefinder has improved my GIR with first use. This is easy and fast to use once you get used to it. It is especially fast if your cart partner assists with the rangefinding as you prepare for the shot.

I purchased this product due to pinseeker feature when my previous Bushnell rangefinder LED display faded after many years of use. The new pinseeker feature makes this rangefinder a vast improvement over the original in terms of locking onto the yardage to the pin. I was amazed and very impressed with this feature. The 7x reticle also make it much easier to lock onto the pin (or any other object on the course), but it does make holding it steady more of a challenge when ranging distances over 175 yards.
br /
br /In comparison to the Sky Caddie product which provides distance to front, back and middle of green and some other features on the hole. The rangefinder provides exact distance to the pin; to the pin placement on any particular day. One can also range to the back and front of the green; the obvious disadvantage of a rangefinder is that its a line-of-sight device. Another use my rangefinder has is off the tee; to scope the yardages where there is trouble.
br /
br /I am very satisfied with my purchase.

I recently puchased the Bushnell Pinseeker 1500 to replace my Leica Rangefinder. This is my third rangefinder and definitely the best one. It is so much easier to lock onto the flag with this upgraded rangefinder. The pinseeker locks in quickly and accurately. I used to take 3 readings to be sure I had the flag and not the background, but that's no longer necessary. The slope calculator is great too. I am a roaming golfer who rarely plays the same course twice in a season. This tool really helps me select the right club when I play from differing elevations.
br /
br /This is a great supplement to my Skycaddie SG5 GPS. The GPS is fast and works great when I can't see the green, but the laser is still more accurate and lets you pick out the range to various targets like traps, lakes and woods which helps me keep from hitting into danger on courses I don't know well. I'm glad I've got it on my bag.

The first time I saw this used was during a friendly round with a tour player. I couldn't believe how inaccurate my distances were when using the sprinkler heads. My handicap has dropped from a 10 to an 8 since purchasing the 1500 with slope. Standing over a shot with confidence in the club you are hitting makes all the difference. Downhill shots using the slope feature has taken the guessing out of club selection. It also saves you the time walking around and pacing off distances from the markers. My friends will not hit a shot without getting a distance from the rangefinder.

This is the most useful golf tool you can buy. It is dead-on accurate for distance and adjusts distance to account for slope up or down. What club do you hit when you know its 150 yards up hill? This little device won't tell you what club to hit, but it will tell you that the 150 yards is going to play like 165 yards (slope adjusted). Now all we need is a device that measures distance, slope and WIND speed!

Easy to use. Clear optics. Ranges very well up to 1000 yards, but not much further.

It only worked for a few times on a golf course. Now I can only get a reading within 100 yard and no reading beyond that. I changed the batteries and won't work either. I paid over $400 for this piece of junk.

Sorry to Disappoint

Sorry to disappoint new potential buyers for this item, but after agonizing for many days on whether to spend the $338 for the Pinseeker 1500, I took all the good reviews to heart and dialed in my "Place Order." Only then did I find out that there would be $40 added for shipping. After calling Beach Camera for clarification, I was told that they do not even have the 1500 in stock. Amazon, get your act in order!

Beware-this is not tournament legal

The Pinseeker Tournament Edition is the yardage pro you want to purchase. This yardage pro has slope and is therefore not legal to use for tournament play. Unfortunately Amazon does not list this in the description so I had to return it and of course they charged me shipping to return it. When I ordered it I was given free shipping, but because I returned it Amazon then charged for shipping it to me. Because Amazon failed to describe this product fully I was charged twice for shipping. Beware of purchasing anything from Amazon--I will never shop from them again!!!!
